From Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette
The Corsicana Animal Shelter has reached critical capacity in housing cats and dogs needing a good home. While the shelter has been able to keep its numerous healthy and friendly animals protected from the risk of euthanization for the last six years, there is no more space available at the shelter. Unless space is made available, time for these animals is dwindling. Large dogs and puppies are especially at risk.
All adoption fees will be waived for pets from Tuesday, May 16, to Saturday, May 20. These free adoptions are said to be offered next week as well, pending further confirmation.
The Corsicana Animal Shelter is located at 617 S. Twelfth Street in Corsicana. Please call 903-654-4929.
