After a notification that the Friday game was rained out, Corsicana Tigers Varsity prepared to face Terrell on familiar territory in Forney.

Easton Autrey started the game off strong when he hit the first double of the game scoring one run.
In the seventh inning, Corsicana scored four runs. Adrian Baston and Blake Phillips both had RBI’s in the inning. In other innings, Blane Farmer also contributed to the seven hits for the day. Baston went three for three at bat, also leading Corsicana in hits.
Ryan Ainsworth was on the mound for Corsicana and helped secure the win. Ainsworth only allowed on run on five hits over the seven inning game. Ainsworth struck out eight.

The Tigers start their playoff journey on Thursday at Corsicana High School’s Price field at 7 p.m. They will be playing McKinney North. Game two will be on Friday at McKinney North High School also at 7 p.m. If needed, game three will be on Saturday at Rockwall High School at 2 p.m.
