On Tuesday, April 18, Corsicana Tigers varsity baseball defeated the Lancaster Tigers for the first time of the week.

Brydan Hernandez was the star pitcher of the game. Hernandez allowed four hits and zero runs over the seven inning game. Hernandez struck out 12 and only walked one. Hernandez contributed multiple runs in the sixth inning to secure the big win for Corsicana.

Along with Hernandez, Adrian Baston and Easton Autrey also contributed to the runs scored in the sixth inning. Autrey led the Corsicana Tigers in hits with two hits in four at bats.

On Friday, April 21, the Corsicana Tigers once again defeated the Lancaster Tigers.

Ryan Ainsworth pitched a stunning game to lead Corsicana to the win on Friday. He allowed zero runs and two hits over the six inning game. Ainsworth struck out nine on Friday.

Seven runs were brought in in the sixth inning. Lane Libal, Blane Farmer, Baston and Autrey all contributed to these runs. Corsicana Tigers varsity had eight hits in the game. Farmer and Hernandez each got two hits to lead the team in hits for the game.

The Tigers now have two games left of regular season play, which both need to be won to finish with a 9-3 record. If the Tigers win both games, they will be in a fight with Forney (9-3)  and Ennis (10-2) for a district title. The Tigers have to win both games and hope that Crandall splits the two game series with Ennis.
