From Staff Reports

Juror for the Happy 175th Birthday, Corsicana youth art show and contest was professional artist and college art instructor, Laura Briseno. Students were judged in three categories: Elementary (Pre-K through Fourth), Middle School (Fifth through Eighth), and High School.

Cash awards were given to the first, second, and third place winners in each category. There were over 200 entries.

Elementary:
First Place: Daneiry Hernandez – Fannin
Second Place: Farid Ramirez – Sam Houston
Third Place: Ava Nguyen – Navarro

Honorable Mentions:
Lillian Idleman – Navarro
Isreal Salinas – Carroll
Noah Tripp – Bowie
Charlette Stewart – Bowie
Kameron Garcia – Bowie
Jeremiah Kumuhone – Bowie

Junior High/Middle:
First Place: Gouri Vinesh Jayalekshmi – Corsicana Middle School
Second Place: Yaretzi Castro

Junior High/Middle:

The Youth Art Show will remain on exhibit at the Warehouse Living Arts Center Gallery located at 119 W. 6th Ave. Corsicana, TX until Wednesday, May 17. Gallery Hours are generally from 12:00pm to 5:00pm Wednesday through Friday, unless otherwise posted. Call 903.872.5421 to confirm.
