By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette
For the first time in the Gazette‘s history, we are very pleased to announce our first new staff reporter and photographer, Sydney Jorgenson.

Sydney is new to the media field, and has an interest in journalism, photojournalism, and digital press. She specializes in sports, equine, and livestock photography. You may have already seen a selection of articles from her in the past few weeks, and she will be adding her voice and writing background in covering Corsicana and Navarro County events.
In sharing a little bit about her background and interests, Sydney had this to say:
“My name is Sydney Jorgenson and I am a senior at Mildred High School. I have loved photography as long as I can remember and have always had a knack for writing as well. As I got older, I also became interested in horses and livestock. I have shown both for multiple years and have taken photos for National Horseman Arabian. After high school, I am signed D1 to South Dakota State University to continue my equestrian and academic career!”
If you see Sydney sporting a press badge while out and about covering events, please give her a warm welcome. We’re very proud to have Sydney and her talents as part of our Navarro County Gazette team.
