April 23 – Cassaro Winery hosts Olive Oil and Wine Pairing from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – The Cassaro Olive Oil and Wine Pairing Tasting event features four imported olive oils paired with award-winning Cassaro wine, and guests will enjoy olive oil-based dishes to complete the pairing. April 24 – Storefront, in collaboration with the Corsicana Public Library, also welcomes children’s author and illustrator Kaz Windneaa to share her insights on how to get published, with helpful tips and hints, and sign her book, Worm and Caterpillar Are Friends. This is a free event. – 4 p.m. – 200 W. Commerce Street at Fifth Avenue.
April 29 – Storefront art and bookstore will feature authors for conversation and book signings surrounding Open Studios and the 10th Anniversary of Independent Bookstore Day Saturday, April 29. Authors Elissa Altman (Motherland: A Memoir of Love, Loathing, and Longing) and Leigh N. Gallagher (Who You Might Be) will read from their latest works at 1 p.m. at a reception in their honor. This is a free event. 100 West will host Open Studios. – 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. – 100 W. Beaton Street.
