As snow and frigid temperatures continue to affect North Texas, Navarro County schools and offices are adjusting their schedules to meet with deteriorating weather conditions.

Currently, the following Navarro County schools will be experiencing delays and extended closures:

  • Blooming Grove Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, and will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. Blooming Grove ISD will resume classes on Thursday, February 2nd with a two-hour delay. Buses will run their normal routes two hours later than normal.
  • Corsicana Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, and will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. Corsicana ISD classes will resume Thursday, Feb. 2, on a 2-hour delay. Elementary and Collins Intermediate classes will begin at 9:45 a.m., Corsicana Middle School at 10 a.m., and Corsicana High School at 10:20 a.m. Buses will run two hours late.
  • Dawson Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, and will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. Dawson ISD classes will resume Thursday, Feb. 2, on a 2-hour delay.
  • Frost Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30, and will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. Frost ISD will operate on a two-hour delayed start on Thursday, Feb. 2. Buses will run two hours behind and will only pick up students on paved roads. – Thursday lunch-Burritos – Friday lunch-Pizza
  • Kerens Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. Kerens ISD will open with a two hour delay. Busses will run two hours late. Classes start at 9:45 a.m.
  • Mildred Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1. Mildred ISD will resume tomorrow on a two hour delay. Buses will start running at 8:30 a.m. and classes will begin at 10 a.m.
  • Rice Independent School District will have an early release at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 30. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1.
  • Navarro College all campuses will have an early release at 2 p.m. and will remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31. The ISD will also be closed Wednesday, Feb. 1.

The Navarro County Courthouse and County Offices will close today at 1:30 p.m. today and remain closed on Tuesday, Jan. 31 due to expected impacts from icy conditions.

Judge Cody Beauchamp has confirmed the Corsicana Municipal Court docket for Feb. 1 is canceled in light of potential continued icy road conditions, and any questions can be directed by calling 903-654-4837.

The Navarro County Health Department will be closed at 1 p.m. today and all day on Tuesday.

Innovative Therapies on Hwy 287 will also be closed at 1 p.m. today, and all day on Tuesday.

The Warehouse Living Arts Center will be closed today, and all day on Tuesday.

No early closures/day closures have been listed for area grocery stores at this time.
