From Staff Reports
The Corsicana Artist and Writer Residency is holding a Corsicana 175 Celebration event opening 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 25, located at 411 N. Beaton Street. The event will also be viewable by sidewalk, 24 hours a day, seven days a week through the summer of 2023.

The installation of a special exhibit titled 125&175 commemorates Corsicana’s 175 years with history from the 125 year-old I.O.O.F. Lodge before it became 100 West studios. Artifacts include lodge furnishings, ephemera, banners, performance props, and a 1/16 scale model of the Lodge as it was built in 1898 by historian Ron Maxfield.
A complete listing of events and history honoring Corsicana’s anniversary are found at Celebrating175 Years and more information on Artist Presentations and Open Studios from global residents can be accessed at www.corsicanaresidency.org.
