As temperatures continue to drop today and tomorrow in what the National Weather Service is calling a “once in a generation type event” for nearly every state, Winter Storm Elliot’s impacts will be felt soon.
The City of Corsicana shared on their Facebook page the following information for warming shelters for the weekend:
Due to the frigid arctic weather we will experience from Thursday afternoon through Saturday, the following warming locations will be available:
First Baptist Church Corsicana
510 West Collin (Gym on Fifth Avenue side)
Opens Noon on Thursday until Noon on Saturday
The venue is setup for overnight accommodations.

Volunteers needed working six hour increments, if interested contact Pastor Reeves or Associate Pastor Fitzhugh.
Corsicana Public Library
100 N. 12th Street
Thursday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The library is open as a daytime warming station without overnight stay.

God’s Holy Temple

The temple is utilized as “on call” in the case of overflow situations from First Baptist Church.
