The First Methodist Church is excited to again offer their popular dine-in turkey spaghetti lunches for the first time since the pandemic. The event is a wonderful opportunity to share a no stress meal with friends and/or family, and is always held the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This year, the event will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 22.

The fall bazaar offers dine-in and take-out turkey spaghetti lunches, frozen pints and quarts of turkey spaghetti, baked goods, and an on-line auction beginning 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 and continues to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21. This has been a community event since the 1970s, and the proceeds are shared with local charities.

The event has bakers whose pies are so sought after that they have become auction items.  As of today, one of the women’s groups began preparation for the frozen pints and quarts.

Those interested in pre-ordering the lunch can call 903-874-5657. Adult plates cost $10, and child plates cost $5. Each meal consists of turkey spaghetti, green beans, salad, rolls, and dessert.
