By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette
It’s that time of year again, where ghosts ‘n’ goblins fill the windows of homes and stores, and kids get ready for their annual candy haul. Events are already shaping up in Downtown Corsicana for the 2022 Halloween season, which the Navarro County Gazette will share updates on upcoming festivities.
If you have any Halloween events you wish to promote, send a message to email@example.com.
Witches Night Out, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20:
Witches Night Out will be an adult-friendly evening Sip and Stroll where adults can wear “witchy wear,” and given maps to visit participating retailers. They will receive stamps/signatures and return their fully stamped maps to be entered into win gift cards to shop at downtown retailers.
There will also be a witch hat/warlock hat costume contest with judging at Pocket Park, and winners will also receive gift cards to shop at downtown retailers.
Pet Trick or Treating and Costume Contest, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22:
Pet Trick or Treating and Costume Contest will take place in Fullerton-Garrity Park as part of the Humane Society of Navarro County’s annual Mutts and Strays membership event. Boo on the Block, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 31:
Boo on the Block is Corsicana’s largest children’s event with well over 2,000-plus kiddos converging on downtown.
The seasonal event features a variety of activities, including trick or treating, a haunted house, balloon artists and face painters, a trackless train, food trucks, and Corsicana Police and Fire Department activities.
This event is one the children love, and is memorable to them all!
