The Pearce Museum, located at 3100 W Collin St. Corsicana, has rounded up a posse of western artists for their latest exhibit featuring works from Jack Moss, David Godfrey, Gary Ward, Charlie Bullock, Bob Penny, and Mathew Rush.

On display now, this collection of western themed art comes from sculptures, oil painters and charcoal artists. Works from the Western Artists Roundup will be up until October 12, 2022 where they will hold a closing reception and you can meet the artists and listen to their talks.

The Western Artist Roundup started on September 12 with a series of workshops by Matthew Rush (Sculpting), Charlie Bullock (Oil), and Gary Ward (charcoal).

These artists lent their expertise to aspiring artist which left students awe struck and motivated. Charlie made it fun talking about how he never liked oil paints, but now they do. After Rush’s workshop they want to be sculpturers, and after Ward’s drawing lessons the students are seeing the world in shapes.

These are the types of programs we are working towards bringing to Navarro College. They would not be possible with out the help from Ann Zembala, William Bullard, and artists willing to share their talents like those from the Wester Artists Roundup show.

All art from the six featured artists will be available for purchases from the show.
