Still looking for things for your children to do this summer? The Warehouse Living Arts Center is known for it’s great youth theatre summer camps. Last summer they added a week of Art Camp that was very well received. This summer the WLAC is upping their offerings once again!

They are having ART, THEATRE, DANCE, and MUSIC Camps all throughout the month of July! 
Each youth camp will have it’s own teacher(s) and can be registered for separately, in any combination, or all together in one discounted package.

ART CAMP | July 5 through 9

In ART Camp students will be exploring different mediums each day culminating in a gallery showing on July 9 where parents and family can come see their work. Local artists will come and judge, and awards will be given. Laura Briseno, art professor and department chair at Navarro College will be returning to teach.

TIME: 1:00pm to 4:00pm
AGES: 3rd – 12th Grades

THEATRE CAMP | July 11 through 15

Alyssa Bain, CHS’s theatre teacher will be returning as well to teach THEATRE Camp where students will engage with each other through fun theatre exercises, games, improv, scene work and more! Parents and family will be invited to a showcase at the end of the week.

GROUPS & TIME:
1st–5th Grades | 10am-12pm
6th–12th Grades | 12:30pm-2:30pm

DANCE CAMP | July 18 through 22

DANCE Camp with get the students up and moving and learning some basic steps along with choreography to musical theatre songs. Parents and family will be invited to a showcase at the end of the week.

GROUPS & TIME:
1st–5th Grades | 10am-12pm
6th–12th Grades | 12:30pm-2:30pm

MUSIC CAMP | July 25 through 29

In MUSIC Camp students will work on their vocal skills, practice auditioning for musicals, learn vocal warm ups and learn a few songs which they will perform for their parents and families on the last day.

GROUPS & TIME:
1st–5th Grades | 10am-12pm
6th–12th Grades | 12:30pm-2:30pm

The WLAC would like to thank the Navarro Council of the Arts and the Hull Creative Arts Foundation for offering scholarships for this years summer camps. While the NCA scholarships have been given out, you can still apply for the HCAF scholarship if you are in financial need. See the link above for details.
