The Corsicana City Council is scheduled to have a council meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, June 27 in the Council Chambers of the Government Center at 200 N. 12th Street.
The agenda for the Monday City Council meeting includes:
- Consider approving the Minutes for the City Council Regular Session of June 13, 2022
- PUBLIC FORUM
Public comments. - PUBLIC HEARINGS
a. Receive public input regarding a request for a Zoning Change from Single-Family Residential-3 (R-3) to General Retail (GR) and a request for a Specific Use Permit for a social club in Lot 9A, Block 1004, located at 1321 N. Beaton Street.
b. Receive public input regarding a proposed amendment to Chapter 12, Planning and Zoning, Article 12.100, Zoning Ordinance, Section 8-100, Use Regulation Districts, (8-105), and Section 8-600, Special Definitions and Explanations Noted in Use Regulations, of the City Code of Ordinances, to remove the wording “Social Club” and replace with “Event Center.”
c. Receive public input regarding a proposed amendment to Chapter 4, Business and Commerce, Article 4.700, Dance Halls and Social Clubs, Sections 4.701-4.712, of the City Code of Ordinances, to remove the wording “Social Club” and replace with “Event Center.” - ORDINANCES

Executive Session: The Council will recess into closed or executive session to receive attorney’s advice on legal matters pursuant to Section 551.071 of the Texas Government Code, to deliberate on certain matters concerning real property pursuant to Section 551.072 of the Texas Government Code, and to discuss economic development negotiations pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code.
Return to Open Session: The Council will consider and act upon items discussed under Executive Session, as necessary.
