There is a blood drive to help sickle cell patients from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 23 at the Martin Luther King Center, located at 1114 E. Sixth Avenue. To schedule an appointment, visit: All presenting donors will receive a $20 Gift Card by email from Amazon and a Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last.

Sickle Cell is a disease that predominately impacts individuals of African descent. African American
blood donors are needed to help provide the most compatible units for patients with sickle cell
