By Ducky Abay – Special to the Navarro County Gazette

“Howdy friends! I was thinking about who I wanted to feature this week and I decided that I wanted to feature several of my shelter friends! Specifically, all of the pit bulls! I don’t know about you, but it is also so disheartening to see people have stigmas or negative opinions against bully breeds, when they can be some of the most amazing dogs you will ever meet! Athletic? Yes! Funny? Yes! Sweet? Yes! Loving? Yes! Protective? Yes!

So this week I want to introduce you to Atty, Rain, ZuZu, Jolene, Gangster, Emory and JJ! All of these bully and bully mixes are adoptable from the Corsicana Animal Shelter. They are current on basic vaccinations and microchipped!”

xx- Ducky

Some quick facts:

Atty: A beautiful, gray pitbull. She is heartworm positive, has been spayed, and will do best in a home where she is queen bee!

Rain: A sophisticated, sweet pittie mix. He is heartworm positive and neutered. Great on a leash and will do good with a committed, loving family.

ZuZu: ZuZu is a spayed female who was a stray and left unclaimed. She is fun, outgoing and loves  going for walks!

Jolene: She is athletic, smart and active! Jolene would love an active, fun family that is looking for an exercise buddy.

Gangster: Gangster is a lovely, sweet dog. He does have some skin issues that are being treated at the shelter. He is great on a leash, great with other dogs, good with kids and all around great fella!

Emory: A beautiful girl who enjoys walks, playtime and treats. Will do best in a home without livestock.

JJ: Found as a beaten up, possibly bait dog, JJ deserves a loving, wonderful home. He is sweet, vaccinated and microchipped.
