By John F. Kaiser III – Navarro County Gazette

Saturday, June 4, 2022 is the opening and artist reception for the Carol Dawson exhibit at the Warehouse Living Arts Center Gallery at 119 W. 6th Ave., Corsicana, TX. Come meet the artist and take in her works from 10:00am to noon, June 4, while enjoying an assortment of snacks and refreshments. Dawson’s collection of watercolor works will be on display from June 4 till August 16.

Dawson has been focusing on watercolor for thirty years. Her visual work is represented in public and private collections across the country.

As a painter, Dawson finds transmitting their experiences an exciting compositional challenge and she aims to dissolve the barriers between them and the human observer.

After studying English Literature and Anthropology at The University of Texas in Austin, Dawson went on to launch her writing career, live abroad. She is the author of four critically acclaimed novels and an award-winning non-fiction book. In addition, she has published numerous articles in national magazines, while simultaneously exhibiting her watercolors in galleries and shows in New Mexico, Washington, and Texas.

The WLAC Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 3:00pm, is located at 119 W. 6th Ave., Corsicana, TX, and is curated by the Navarro Council of the Arts.
