The GW Jackson Multicultural Society and City of Corsicana are honored to celebrate the groundbreaking for the GW Jackson Legacy Park at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10.

The GW Jackson Legacy Park will be located on a one-arce plot of land on which Mr. Jackson’s home originally stood. This location is the natural entry into Corsicana on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard/Seventh Avenue, which will be enjoyed by residents and visitors. The new park will also be home to the GW Jackson bronze statue.

The groundbreaking will kick off with a brief ceremony and comments from community leaders followed by lunch provided by K&K BBQ and the GW Jackson Multicultural Society.
