Patricia Hull was a great supporter for the arts. Patricia was into crafting and dedicated time volunteering at the Warehouse Living Arts Center as a member of Standing Ovation. When Patricia passed away in 2013, her husband Frank Hull took his love for both his wife and her love of the arts and formed the Hull Creative Arts Foundation in her honor to support and encourage the appreciation and education of the creative arts for the youth of Navarro County.

The HCAF College Scholarship goes out to graduating seniors from public Navarro County high schools. Applicants must demonstrate their love of and participation within the creative arts. The scholarship helps with the cost of pursuing a creative art major at a qualified school of higher education. The scholarship amount awarded goes up to $5,000 or as determined by the nominating committee.

High school seniors who would like to apply can obtain copies of the application form their school guidance counselor, the school’s creative arts instructor, directly from the HCAF Chairman by emailing hullcreativearts@yahoo.com, or by downloading it off of the HCAF website www.hullcreativearts.com/hullcreativearts.html. 2022 applications must be turned in by April 2.

In addition to HCAF’s college scholarships, the foundation also offers smaller scholarships to youth who would like to attend classes and camps at the Warehouse Living Arts Center.

Fundraising is a big part of keeping the Hull Creative Arts Foundation going. This year’s fundraising efforts will kick off on February 26 with a CASINO NIGHT in the Fannie Mae Vernon Room at the Navarro County EXPO, located at 4021 W, 4021 TX-22. If you would like to help HCAF support the students you can head on out for a night of fun, or just donate directly.
