Update: 1:11 p.m.
After interrogating students and a thorough search, CISD Police and administrators located a gun hidden in a classroom. The students involved have been arrested. The lockdown will be lifted once the students are processed by law enforcement. All Corsicana ISD students and staff are safe.

Después de interrogar a los estudiantes y una búsqueda exhaustiva por parte de la policía y los administradores del campus, se encontró un arma escondida en un salón de clases. Los estudiantes involucrados han sido arrestados. El cierre se levantará una vez que los estudiantes sean procesados por la policía. Todos los estudiantes y el personal están a seguros.

At approximately 11 a.m. this morning, Corsicana High School was placed on lockdown due to a gun reported in a backpack on the high school premises. Campus administrators and CISD police officers were dispatched to the area of concern and began a thorough search and investigation. The backpack was searched, and no gun was found.
Officers and administrators are continuing to question students and conduct a thorough search of the building. At this time, every hallway and entry has a police officer and administrator assigned for safety.
Corsicana ISD will continue to keep the public informed once the lockdown is lifted.

Aproximadamente a las 11:00 a. m. de esta mañana, la Escuela Secundaria Corsicana fue puesta bajo llave debido a que se reportó un arma en una mochila en las instalaciones de la escuela secundaria. Los administradores del campus y los oficiales de policía de CISD fueron enviados al área de interés y comenzaron una búsqueda e investigación exhaustivas. Se registró la mochila y no se encontró ningún arma. Los oficiales y administradores continúan interrogando a los estudiantes y realizando una búsqueda exhaustiva del edificio.
