Additional update information has been provided by Interim Fire Chief, Wade Gillen regarding City of Corsicana offices, as well as listed locations for warming stations:
For the City of Corsicana:
- The offices will be open.
The following locations in Corsicana will be utilized as warming stations:
- The library (100 N. Twelfth Street) will be opening tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. as a warming center.
- Lighthouse of Praise (200 E. Collin Street), under the direction of Steve Smith (903-229-1649) has 15 cots set up (currently housing 6) for overnight sheltering. (Homeless, single Men only – Will have food)
- First Baptist Church (Assisted by Grace Community) 510 W. Collin Street (5th Street entrance) – Opening at 8 a.m as Warming Center Tomorrow (will have food). Will be open until 5 p.m., but can remain open past these hours if needed. Contact Jeff Fitzhugh at 903-467-8952.
Republic Services will not be running tomorrow, but will start late on Friday. The independent school districts have closed for tomorrow and Friday.
