Corsicana’s Visitor Center recently unveiled a series of local themed souvenirs, providing a new way for visitors to take home a keepsake of their small town visit.

“It all culminated with requests from visitors, mostly, and locals,” said Corsicana Main Street Director Amy Tidwell. “They’re always asking ‘Are there any souvenirs you have we can take with us’.”
“I knew from the very beginning that was was a need to offer our visitors. Our locals, too. Our locals love to have little pieces of Corsicana in their homes, and they love that stuff to give to their family members that once lived here and don’t anymore.”
Tidwell partnered with Carly Haynie, a local graphic designer and muralist.
“She’s so passionate about Corsicana,” Tidwell said. “She’s done so much work, and so many people know her work, and just love to support her in general.”
The souvenir line made its debut in November of 2021, the resulting themed art embodying a collage of attractions and historical features of Corsicana. Haynie brought the idea to life through a series of logos and icons. Tidwell’s retail experience determined what would sell best; a collection of of coffee mugs, hats, shirts, tea towels, magnets, coasters, and holiday ornaments.
“We’re always looking to expand it,” Tidwell said. “We’re already talking about what types of (new) categories to do, so we’re excited to see it grow.”
New Corsicana-themed designs are currently being planned to entice visitors to return. New items are also being considered, such as prints, postcards, home decor items, and shot glasses. The items will be exclusive to the visitor center, and not found at other retailers.
“It’s fun and exciting to have a little piece of Corsicana to take with them.” Tidwell said.
Visitor Center hours are:

10 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Saturday
