From Staff Reports
Navarro College has made the decision to cancel the Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast due to the increase in COVID-19 cases in Navarro County, and the ease of transmission with the Omicron variant.
In lieu of the breakfast, activities from the MLK event will now be combined with Navarro College’s 75th Anniversary Black History Month Celebration event on Saturday, Feb. 19, from 1 p.m to – 3:30 p.m. at the Cook Education Center. This event will feature Shaun Rabb from Fox 4 News as emcee, highlight influential former African American Bulldog alumni, and feature the performing group The Legendary Creators.
During the event, the MLK scholarship recipients will be recognized and receive their awards. The college hopes that community members will come join this fun celebration.
Seating is limited, so please RSVP to Jessica Kindon at 903-875-7591 or jessica.kindon@navarrocollege.edu
