“Happy 2022! I hope everyone had a safe and happy new year celebration. Whether you went out or vegged out on the couch, I hope it was grand!

As many of us know, precious Betty White passed away on New Years Eve. 99 years of kindness and a love for animals that will last decades more. I think a fantastic way to honor Betty’s memory would be to help out an animal organization. Whether big or small, it would be a lovely way to start the New Year off right. Here are some organizations you can help:

The Humane Society of Navarro County
PO BOX 1734
Corsicana, TX 75151
admin@thehsnc.org | www.thehsnc.org | 903-875-1060
Provides a low cost spay/neuter program for residents of Navarro County. Spends over $80,000 annually on spaying and neutering to help reduce the unwanted and stray pet overpopulation.

Corsicana Animal Shelter
617 S. 12th St.
Corsicana, TX 75110
903-654-4928
Provides a shelter for stray, unwanted and surrendered dogs and cats in Navarro County. Run by the City of Corsicana. Has an amazing staff that adopts out or sends to rescue as many pets as possible. Accepts monetary and tangible donations like dog/cat food, collars, leashes, toys, blankets etc.

Ducky’s Pet Food Friday Program (<– Hey that’s me!)
PO BOX 1734
Corsicana, TX 75151
www.paypal.me/hsnctx (please note for Ducky’s Pet Food Friday program)
Provides free dog and cat food to in-need pet owners on the first Friday of every month for residents of Navarro County. In December the program helped over 200 animals with supplemental meals. Part of the Humane Society of Navarro County.

As my first pet feature of 2022, meet Max! He is actually the brother to my newly adopted cat sibling, Bug! So PLEASE go check out this active cutie if you want a fun-loving, excited furfriend!”

xoxo – Ducky

Max was part of a stray litter that was taken to the shelter along with their mom back in July. They were only 4 weeks old and Max is now ready to find his forever home. He is playful, social and hopes to have a furry friend to play with in his new home. Max will do best with kids older than 12 since he is very active. You can also adopt him and another male cat for a reduced adoption fee! Wow!

Where to meet Max:
