From Staff Reports

PRESS RELEASE: On Jan. 2, 2022 at approximately 2:24 p.m., the Corsicana Police Department received a 911 call reporting a major accident in the 1100 Block of S. 29th Street. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle which had crashed into a fence. The vehicle had extensive damage from multiple gunshots. Four gunshot victims were found inside of the vehicle.

The male driver and male front seat passenger were deceased at the scene. The deceased have been identified as 23-year-old David Espinoza, and 22-year-old Angel Tristen Balderas. Both victims were Corsicana residents. Two other passengers in the vehicle were severely injured and remain hospitalized in the DFW area.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information will be released at this time. If you have any information in regards to this incident please contact the Corsicana Police Department 903-654-4902, or call 911.
