Childers wins Corsicana Independent School District Holiday Card Contest

Chloe Childers, a creative Corsicana High School student, was announced as the 2021 Corsicana Independent School District holiday card contest winner.

Designs were submitted to art teachers across the district, and the selected artist was presented with an award and
recognized as the official CISD holiday card designer.

“There were so many fantastic entries for this contest. We received submissions from our elementary campuses to our high school. I appreciate the participation from the art teachers and parents who had their students enter,” said Aimee Kasprzyk, CISD Fine Arts Director.

Childers is a senior at Corsicana High School and crafts her work under the instruction of art teacher Professor Collins. “We accepted all art mediums, allowing students to embrace their creativity. It was exciting to see the talent our students possess,” Kasprzyk explained. “Her detailed illustration is what set her apart from the other submissions.”

Dr. Frost, Superintendent of Schools and Board of Trustees, recognized Childers’ design during the Dec. 6 board meeting. She was awarded a gift card and framed artwork of her design. The final illustration will be used as the design for the cards distributed by CISD Central Office.

Chloe Childers, estudiante de la escuela secundaria de Corsicana, fue anunciada como la ganadora del concurso de tarjetas navideñas 2021 de CISD.

Este concurso anual trae alegría a todo el distrito, los estudiantes son elegibles para enviar sus diseños a sus maestros de arte y el artista seleccionado recibe un premio y es reconocido como el diseñador de la tarjeta oficial de vacaciones de CISD.

“Hubo tantas entradas fantásticas para este concurso, recibimos presentaciones de nuestros campus de primaria a nuestra escuela secundaria. Agradezco la participación de los maestros de arte y los padres que hicieron ingresar a sus estudiantes ”, dijo Aimee Kasprzyk, Directora de Bellas Artes de CISD.

Childers es estudiante de último año en Corsicana High School; su profesor de arte es el profesor Collins. “Aceptamos todos los medios artísticos, lo que permitió a los estudiantes abrazar su creatividad. Fue emocionante ver el talento de nuestros estudiantes ”. Kasprzyk explicó. “Su ilustración detallada es lo que la distingue de las otras presentaciones”.

El diseño de Childer fue reconocido por el Superintendente y la Junta de Síndicos en la reunión de la Junta Escolar del 6 de diciembre. Se le otorgó una tarjeta de regalo y una obra de arte enmarcada de su diseño. Su obra de arte se utilizará como diseño para las tarjetas enviadas por la Oficina Central de CISD.
