By John F. Kaiser III – Navarro County Gazette
As reported by the Dallas Morning News and propagated through a number of news sources such as Fortune, the well known billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks and new business shark, Mark Cuban, has bought the long for sale town of Mustang.
Long time Navarro County residents are sure to be familiar with the area. Back when we were a dry county, you would either run up north a stretch to Rice, or you’d head down to the Angus/Mustang area to procure your beer and alcohol needs. I personally have had friends and family live in the Mustang trailer park years back and have often day dreamed what I would do if I had the money to purchase the town myself.
Could Cuban be planning to bring some much needed life to this oft forgotten little patch of land? The Gazette reached out to Cuban for comment.
“I have no plans at all at this point,” Cuban responded. “Not listening to any pitches. Not ready for that.”
Stay tuned for further information on this development.
