“Small Business Saturday,” the local shopping holiday held the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, celebrates local business by encouraging shoppers to “Shop Small.” For each dollar spent locally, 67 cents stays in Corsicana.
The shopping event, which originated in 2010, will be observed in several local businesses in addition to having Small Business Saturday Welcome Centers in Downtown Corsicana.
The Pocket Park on Beaton welcome center will be hosted by Main Street Director Amy Tidwell along with 106.9 The Ranch.
The Storefront Bookstore, located at 203 N. Commerce Street, will also serve as a center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring the C&S Baking food truck, in-shop vendors, and live music. The bookstore will also be offering snacks, beer, wine, books and new merchandise, including free “Shop Small” tote bags while supplies last.
