On Saturday, November 20, Gallery Wah Wah opened it’s doors for a showing and reception. Works were a mix of original and collected pieces by gallery owner, artist Patricia Pelehach who hosted the day’s event with a warm inviting smile and deep knowledge and passion of the subject matter. Gallery Wah Wah is located next to the old Roy’s Cafe at 308 N. Beaton St. Corsicana, Texas. The gallery is open by appointment, so if you would like to visit please email patricia@gallerywahwah.com.
The bright, well lit space illuminated a number of works on display that were either from or inspired by Japan and Japanese culture and techniques. The majority of the pieces were clay sculptures with a couple of Pelehach’s chine collé paper pressings and kimonos. Visitors came from all over to experience the exhibit.
