Last evening the Palace Theatre celebrated their 100-year anniversary in grand fashion. Starting at the WLAC, guests gathered enjoying the deliciously catered finger foods while viewing the opening night exhibit by the Corsicana Art League. Lots of laughs and conversations were had as everyone made their rounds.

After the festivities at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, celebrators moved across the street to the Palace itself for a rockin’ fun evening performance by the Greatest Piano Men. Before the music started a movie was shown highlighting the Palace’s history and restoration. Mayor Don Denbow took to the stage and declared Nov. 4 The Palace Theatre Day.
After that, performers entered the stage and took on the personas of piano greats such as Billy Joel, Elton John, Ray Charles, Liberace, and Stevie Wonder. As if that were not treat enough, a table with Champagne and cake pops aligned the street for everyone exiting the event. A truly tasteful end to a fun-filled celebratory evening.
