Petey is a neutered pittie mix that is looking for his forever home. He was found and taken to the shelter but was never claimed. He is a lovely dog that needs to be alpha in his new home. Petey doesn’t share toys, treats, or any of that sort with fellow canine companions. So he will do best in a home either as the only dog or with a submissive dog that does not mind being bossed around. BUT, Petey LOVES other dogs when they let him be king. He doesn’t have the best kennel manners and will bark when new people approach his kennel, but as soon as he is let out, his fun personality shines. Petey is also heartworm positive and has been started on the slow kill method, which means he will have to be on heartworm preventative every month for the rest of his life. This is a sad reality thanks to being uncared for in his previous years.
