From Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette

In preparation for Navarro College’s 2021 Legacy Parade, there will be a road closure on Main Street in Downtown Corsicana from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday Oct. 12. The Legacy Parade celebrates the history of the college’s 75-year anniversary, as well as the history of local businesses and organizations celebrating milestone anniversaries.

The parade begins at 6:30 p.m.

2021 has been a significant year for milestone anniversaries for several prominent businesses in Corsicana. Earlier in the year, the Navarro County Gazette ran a two-part special highlighting several of these achievements featured here: Part 1 and Part 2.

For any business interested in participating, they can email Michelle Smith, Marketing Specialist at Navarro College, at: michelle.smith@navarrocollege.edu, or fill out the registration form here.

In addition, Republic Services will also be placing temporary trash receptacles around the parade route on Oct. 12 and will pick those up the following morning.
