Pet supply retailer part of larger development project.

By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette

As part of last month’s economic development meeting, there were a series of newly announced developments scheduled to bring in new single-family unit homes, and restaurant and retail options. One of those announced options is pet supply retailer Petco.

The Petco company was founded in 1965, offering a variety of domestic animal care supplies ranging from food, leashes, beds, and toys. Petco stores also offers small animal adoptions, such as birds, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice, and reptiles, in addition to grooming and dog training services. At present, Petco has an average of 1,500 retail locations.

While no set date has been announced for store completion/opening, the retailer is set to open near the Walmart/College Park Mall area.
