The Best Christmas Pageant Ever Auditions and a Call to Action
By John F. Kaiser III – Navarro County Gazette
The Warehouse Living Arts Center invites you to come be a part of the hilarious Christmas classic, and WLAC favorite, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Roles are available for men, women, boys, girls and little ones (not casting anyone under 6 years old).
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is about a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant who are faced with casting the Herdman kids – probably the most inventively awful kids in history. You won’t believe the mayhem, and the fun, when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on! Do you have a little Herdman in you? Come audition!
Auditions will be held Sunday, September 26 from 5:00pm to 7:15pm, and Monday, September 27 from 5:00pm to 7:30pm in the WLAC’s Fator Studio (the red door across the street from the Palace Theatre). To help keep auditions safe while covid numbers are high, there is a sign-up sheet where you can schedule your time to audition as well as a list of available roles and other pertinent information on their website www.theWLAC.com.
A Call to Action – Have You Been in a past WLAC Production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever?
In honor of being the most produced show over the fifty year history of the Warehouse Living Arts Center, they are looking to create a display for the latest production of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever featuring people involved in the all the previous versions. Here is a list of what they are looking for:
- Name and where you currently live
- How many of the past productions of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever have you been involved in
- Name the character(s) you played, or what tech/backstage work you did
- A picture of you in the play
- A current photo
- Brief statement of your experience with the show and how the Warehouse Living Arts Center influenced your life
They understand you may not have any pictures from your time in the show, but would love a copy if you have any! Please send all pictures and information to firstname.lastname@example.org with “ME in BCPE” as the subject line.
