Navarro County Pens to Lens

The Navarro County Pens to Lens event is an annual screenplay competition and short film festival for Navarro County students in grades 3 through 12. Local youths throughout the county can participate in this event for an opportunity to meet and work with other student filmmakers, work with filmmaking and editing equipment, and get support from the P2L team.

An artistic collaboration between the Corsicana Independent School District, Hull Creative Arts Foundation, Navarro Council of the Arts, Outside the Lines Creative Studios, and the Warehouse Living Arts Center, with additional gracious support administered by Joe Brooks of the Shepherd Foundation, the organizations allow students to build skills and confidence in all aspects of the creative film process, including writing, set and artistic design, directing, camera operation, acting, and editing, to bring student stories to life.

Scripts that are chosen from each age group are judged from First to Third place, with winners in each group receive cash prizes or awards based on their ranking.
