A stormy start clears for puppy playtime
By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette
Despite a thunderstorm slowing the start of the annual swimtime event for dogs, the Pooch Paddle at Jester Park Pool delighted humans and pups alike as they spent time enjoying the last day of the summer swim time, reserved exclusively for Corsicana’s canine residents.
Presented by the Humane Society of Navarro County and courtesy of Sharla Allen and the Corsicana Parks & Rec Department, pups of all sizes got the pool all to themselves during the three-hour event.
100 percent of the proceeds donated by guests will go to benefit the HSNC’s low cost spay/neuter program.
After having to pause the event last year due to the pandemic, the HSNC was glad to be able to share this pool party with dog lovers of Corsicana and Navarro County.
