Multidisciplinary artist and performer, and Corsicana Artist & Writer Residency alum, Masud Olufani plays Frederick Douglass in the musical production No Cowards in Our Band. In honor of both Juneteenth and July 4, the Syracuse Opera is hosting this musical production about the life of Douglass, which will be screened at the newly opened Storefront.

The free screening of No Cowards in Our Band will be held at Storefront, located at 203 N. Commerce St., at 7:00pm. A discussion on what freedom means today will follow Masud’s performance.
