Jackson Ex-Students Association, celebrates Juneteenth with a BBQ Membership Drive and Fundraiser at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19 at Bear Field, located at 1100 E. 10th Avenue, Corsicana.
Come and enjoy food, fun, games, and music! There will be a drive-by starting at 11 a.m. from Bears Den to Bears Field. Don’t miss the brief program “History & Recognition”. Lawn chairs and tents are allowed.
- BBQ links, brisket, or chicken and sides
- $10 1-meat plate (2 or 3 meats extra)
- $6 Sandwiches
- $1 Kool-Aid Pickles
- $1 Sodas
About Juneteenth: Juneteenth (short for “June Nineteenth”) marks the day in 1865 when federal troops arrived in Galveston, Texas to ensure that all enslaved people were freed.
