Local festival postponed due to high COVID-19 cases

By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette

Derrick Days, Corsicana’s traditional community festival that was established in 1976, has been postponed to 2022.

In a statement released on the official Derrick Days website, the site’s main page states:

Due to the high number of new COVID cases we have decided to wait until 2022 to have our festival.

We care about the health and safety of our friends, and we know social distancing is difficult at a festival with several thousand people attending.

We would have to limit booths and how could we ever choose just a few of our wonderful vendors. Please check back for updates.

We hope to see you soon!”

The Navarro County Gazette will continue to share updates as they become available.
