With the current snowfall around Navarro County, kids can look forward to a day off from both in-person and online classes.
Taken from their respective social media pages, the following school closures are in effect for Monday, Jan. 11:
Blooming Grove ISD: “Blooming Grove ISD will be closed Monday, Jan. 11, 2021. The administration will condition to monitor weather and road conditions on Monday. Please take precautions when driving. Stay safe and enjoy your snow day!”
Corsicana ISD: “For our students to experience one of the most anticipated seasonal events of the year…Corsicana ISD will be closed tomorrow Mon., JAN 11. We hope you stay safe and enjoy your day. No school for in-person or online students.”
Dawson ISD: Dawson ISD will be closed on Jan. 11. Classes resume on Jan. 12 at normal times. As of Jan. 10 at 4:00 p.m., Dawson ISD will be be running on late arrival schedule on Monday Jan. 11. Classes will start at 10 a.m. for both campuses. Buses will run 2 hours late. A further decision regarding a closure will be made this evening if necessary. Frost ISD: “Attention Parents: Due to today’s weather and expected freezing temperatures overnight, Frost ISD will be closed on Monday, Jan. 11 to avoid road conditions that are too hazardous for bus routes and staff commutes. All classes will resume our regular schedule on Tuesday.”
Mildred ISD: “Mildred ISD will be closed tomorrow January 11, 2021. We will resume normal operations on January 12. Be safe and have a little fun in the snow.”
Rice ISD: “Rice ISD will be closed tomorrow, January 11th due to inclement weather. Stay safe and warm!”
For Navarro College students, however, class will remain in session.
Navarro College: “All Navarro College campuses will open at noon tomorrow!”
