The Navarro County Gazette has created this list of those holiday happenings, and while still a work in progress, we will continue to update and re-share as we discover new events. We will also gladly take reader submissions, which can be sent to news@navarrocountygazette.com – Have an event? Tell us about it.

Then – For those who want to send a letter to Santa Claus this year, there is a specialty mailbox to do just that at the Pocket Park in downtown Corsicana, located at 118 N. Beaton Street. Boys and girls who drop of their letters to Santa at this mailbox will get a response from Santa himself by Dec. 25.

Then to Dec. 18 – Old Lumberyard Food and Finds is hosting its fourth annual coat, shoe, and toy drive. Drop off items at 120 W. Third Avenue, or call Emily Lawhon at 903-875-4652 for pickup. Collecting runs through Dec. 18.

Nov. 14 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Mimosas at the Market (hosted by Turquoise Pistol). Live country band performing.

Nov. 21 – Tickets go on sale for A Doublewide, Texas Christmas at the Warehouse Living Arts Center.

Nov. 26 – Thanksgiving.

Dec. 1-4, 5, 6 – A Doublewide, Texas Christmas premieres at the Warehouse Living Arts Center. Performances are held on the following dates:
Dec. 1-5: 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 5-6: 2:30 p.m.
For those that are unable to attend in person, an online streaming option will be available.

Dec. 4 – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – National Commanders Red Kettle Challenge at Walmart at 3801 W State Highway 31. Captain Jennifer R.L. Schmidt will take part in the challenge from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. wearing a variety of colorful holiday costumes.

Dec. 5 – 9 a.m. – YMCA of Corsicana presents the 28th annual Jingle Bell Jog.

Dec. 5 – 6:40 p.m. – Walmart Holiday Drone Light Show (Online event only). Show is available to watch of the official Walmart Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok social media profiles.

Dec. 10-13 – 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – Second Avenue Baptist Church presents: Live Nativity – 3045 W. Second Avenue.

Dec. 12 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – 106.9 The Ranch is holding a Sidewalk Santa event benefitting Compassion Corsicana Food Pantry, Child Advocates of Navarro County, and Salvation Army Corsicana.

Dec. 12 – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Mimosas at the Market (hosted by Corsicana Main Street).

Dec. 12 – 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille is hosting a “Cookies with Santa” event at their theater, located at 3501 Corsicana Crossing Boulevard. Decorate a gingerbread house, snack on warm, homemade cookies and talk with Santa and Mrs. Claus about all the goodies on your Christmas list. Tickets are $29.95 per family (5 people per family group), and can be purchased here.

Dec. 12 – 12:00 p.m. – 5 p.m. – Lane Brown Toy Run & Food Drive – Donation of an unopened toy and/or non-perishable food will be the entry fee. Event begins with a Poker Run at 10 a.m. at the I.O.O.F. Event Center located at 601 N. 45th Street in Corsicana. There will be $10 BBQ plates, a bike show, and auction. Dec. 12 – 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. – Christmas Celebration: After mimosas, stick around for a downtown tree viewing fellowship. K&K BBQ, Taco Station food truck, Snowie Town, and Timber’s will all be there to take care of your food needs.

Dec. 17 – 12 p.m. – Little Women screening. Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille is hosting a “12 Days of Free Christmas” movie event at their theater, located at 3501 Corsicana Crossing Boulevard. For the admission price of two canned food items (for donation at a local food bank), viewers can watch the day’s film.

Dec. 18 – 12 p.m. – The Little Drummer Boy and A Charlie Brown Christmas screening. Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille is hosting a “12 Days of Free Christmas” movie event at their theater, located at 3501 Corsicana Crossing Boulevard. For the admission price of two canned food items (for donation at a local food bank), viewers can watch the day’s film.

Dec. 19 – 12 p.m. – Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman screening. Schulman’s Movie Bowl Grille is hosting a “12 Days of Free Christmas” movie event at their theater, located at 3501 Corsicana Crossing Boulevard. For the admission price of two canned food items (for donation at a local food bank), viewers can watch the day’s film.

CANCELED EVENTS

Nov. 20 – The Beaton Street Tree Lighting Ceremony. FREE carriage rides will be offered at the at Friday’s downtown ceremony from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. – Please join the City of Corsicana for live music, carriage rides, food trucks, the lighting of the big tree and Santa. – This event was canceled Nov. 17.

Dec. 5 – 6 p.m. – The Corsicana Christmas Parade No pre-registration or fee – Check-in begins at 4 p.m. at the Ideal Storage parking lot located at 801 N. 13th Street. – Check-in and staging assignments are completed at the Fire Department’s red tent in the parking lot – All drivers must have a current valid drivers license – All vehicles requiring DMV registration must be registered and have it displayed per regulation. For any questions, please call Corsicana Parks and Recreation at (903) 654-4874. – This event was canceled Nov. 17.

Dec. 17 – 7:30 p.m. – Brass Transit Presents: A Rockin’ Christmas at the Palace Theatre. – This event was canceled Dec. 9.
