Another month has sped by here at the library. Visitors are few, and I believe it’s because of the spread of COVID-19 in Kerens. Rest assured, I try to make the library the safest place in town.

Everyone must wear masks, use the hand sanitizer both entering and leaving, and I wipe the doors with disinfecting  wipes every time someone comes in. Also, when someone uses our computers, I disinfect them.

More people are checking out DVDs to watch at home, so I ordered 12 that we have not had before. We have a large selection of both adult movies and children’s movies.

This morning, Dec. 4, I ordered the latest books by Elin Hiderbrand, John Patterson, Janet Evanovitch, and David Baldacci. They will be in next week.

We had five children come in and do online school while the school was closed again. Two with a parent, and three that were old enough to not need one. Under 13 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The library welcomes new people in the area to come in and get library cards for themselves and their children. I make it easy to get one, so everyone should get one.one. As always, we have internet computers, a fax machine and copiers. Fax service is $1 per page, and copies made are 15 cents per page. Come in and use this great place.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Year.
