Local holiday festivities affected by increase in COVID-19 cases

Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in Navarro County, and in an abundance of caution, the City of Corsicana has announced it will cancel the Corsicana Tree Lighting event that was scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20. This cancelation was confirmed by the Corsicana Tree Lighting Facebook event page.
The Christmas tree, located in Downtown, Corsicana is still being constructed as of this morning for locals to experience as part of their annual viewing tradition.
Additionally, the Christmas Parade scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 5 has been canceled for corresponding safety reasons and the well-being of the local population.
