By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette
Dear Readers:
The Gazette is making a change this week as we are upgrading our servers to be bigger and better. We just approved the transfer today.
What does that mean for you? Hopefully nothing, but just be aware the site is being moved over to a new server for the next three to five days. It could be less, so fingers crossed for a fast process. The website URL will still remain www.navarrocountygazette.com – You won’t have to update anything.
We’ve been assured by our new website host that accessing the site shouldn’t be interrupted, but if things get weird and the site goes down, that’s why. It’s a normal part of the migration.
In the meantime, we will not be updating the main site to ensure the transfer goes smoothly. However, we will be updating the usual Facebook/Twitter/Instagram social media profiles, so we’ll be posting some things throughout the week.
Also, we’ll still be in the background writing stories and doing interviews, so when we do come back live, we’ll have some all-new content to share with you. This upgrade is also going to allow us to finally launch some of those long-talked about upgrades we’ve been mentioning.
“Too Long, Didn’t Read” version: If the site goes down over the next 3-5 days, don’t worry. We’ve outgrown our old server, and are moving to a bigger and better one.
Thanks for your patience,
Guy and John
