If you were a kid of the 1990s, the phrase “It’s Morphin’ Time” takes on a nostalgic meaning.

With that in mind, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fans will want to keep their Power Coins in hand and their schedules cleared 12 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, as Jason David Frank (Tommy Oliver/Green Ranger/White Ranger) will be making a local appearance at Oiltown Comics.

The special event is part of the Power Ranger Protection Program, an initiative by Frank designed to help bring extra business to comic shops who have been affected by COVID-19. Frank, a fan favorite who lives in Houston, travels to comic shops in need, autographs memorabilia for fans, and shares part of the proceeds he makes with the store he visits.

“This entire Power Ranger Protection Program he is doing for so many shops across Texas and even a few in surrounding states as well is really awesome,” Davidson said. “We are just really grateful he is squeezing us into that schedule.”
