Check your voting status in minutes
By Guy Chapman – Navarro County Gazette
As Election Day draws closer to its November deadline, it is important for all residents to ensure their voting status is currently active, and are officially registered to vote.
The website for the Texas Secretary of State provides an easy way to verify all Texas voters have an active status.
Voters can find the Texas Secretary of State’s website by clicking here.
In the dropdown menu for the Login option on the right side of TSOS main page, voters can check their status by submitting information for one of three criteria:
- Voter Unique Identification (VUID) and Date of Birth
- Texas Drivers License (TDL) and Date of Birth
- Name, County of Residence, and Date of Birth
Once logged in, the website displays the requestor’s voter information status as well as a link sharing the polling information locations for upcoming elections.
As of this writing, residents still have two weeks to register to vote. Registering to vote by mail or in person ends Monday, Oct. 5.
