Event honors local college cheer coach

The Corsicana Country Club is hosting a watch party honoring Navarro College’s Cheer Coach Monica Aldama as she makes her debut on Dancing With the Stars. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. Monday Sept. 14, though it is recommended to show up earlier.
Aldama and her Cheer Team took Netflix by storm in January after the debut of their six Emmy nominated docuseries, Cheer. The special event requires a reservation, though guests do not have to be a country club member to attend. An appetizer buffet will also be available.
